About United Urology & Center for Men’s Health
THE LEADER IN LOW TESTOSTERONE OPTIMIZATION & ED TREATMENT
United Urology & Center for Men’s Health is the leader for general urology as well as testosterone optimization and non-surgical erectile dysfunction treatment in Southern California. Unparalleled in the level of care and expertise, our board-certified urologist, our team sets the bar for effective and thorough care.
Our areas of clinical interest include: male and female voiding dysfunction, minimally invasive treatment for enlarged prostate, urinary incontinence, urinary stone disease management and prevention and uro-oncology (prostate, renal, bladder, testicular cancer).
A change in testosterone level is normal as you age, however, if the level dips too low, the symptoms can drain your energy and impact the quality of your life. We can help you regain your male vigor and work to balance your hormones through our specialized hormone replacement therapy. The objective of our Low T treatment is to restore hormones to their optimal levels so you begin to feel better, almost immediately. We have several different treatment options that are available if your test results show that you have a testosterone deficiency.

The answer is, it depends. Each patient is different and requires their own personalized treatment plan. For more information on pricing, please contact us.
Again, this depends on your specific insurance coverage . Unfortunately, over the past 10 years, Medicare and many insurance plans do not cover the cost of ED drugs and limit testosterone therapy based on pre-determined lab values. We will work with our patients to find the most effective treatment option that fits their budget, including monthly subscription and payment plans for non-covered services.
A urologist is a medical doctor who has undergone extensive education and surgical training. The most common reasons that men voluntarily enter the health care system are for urologic reasons, i.e., symptoms of voiding and sexual dysfunction and cancer screening. Therefore, urologists have a unique opportunity and responsibility to perform a comprehensive evaluation, as other significant health issues (cardiac disease, diabetes, metabolic syndrome) may initially present as symptoms of sexual dysfunction. Urologists are medical and surgical specialists with a keen understanding of the entire body system and therefore, can offer a comprehensive and effective treatment plan for each individual patient.
Not all men’s health centers are the same. Some centers are run by people with very little training in urologic diseases, are likely to be non-specialists, or are only available online to prescribe medications. In addition, some centers may offer the same treatment for all patients with sexual dysfunction, as they are not surgeons or credentialed to perform invasive procedures when necessary.
We have a goal to treat the person and not the symptom. In order to do this, there needs to be a team approach; as your healthcare provider we will educate and empower you to make the best decisions, and invite other talented providers with expertise in nutrition and fitness to be part of your team (if you desire); we will also keep your PCP in the loop (if you desire) so we are all working to achieve the best outcomes.
